El confinamiento en un piso, en barrios con pocas zonas verdes, la contaminaci\u00f3n y la posibilidad de teletrabajar, dan pie a que los que pueden busquen una vivienda en un lugar mejor.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e1s de la mitad de la poblaci\u00f3n mundial vive en ciudades y, seg\u00fan los estudios, hacia el 2050 el porcentaje se acercar\u00e1 al 70%. Centr\u00e1ndonos en Espa\u00f1a, la situaci\u00f3n es a\u00fan m\u00e1s acusada, en 2019 ya viv\u00eda en las ciudades un 81% de sus habitantes.<\/p>\n<p>Las ciudades, a pesar de ocupar s\u00f3lo el 3% de la superficie de la tierra, consumen el 70% de la energ\u00eda global y emiten el 75% de CO2.<\/p>\n<p>En la Uni\u00f3n Europea se han cuantificado alrededor de <strong>400.000 las muertes prematuras anuales<\/strong> por culpa de las part\u00edculas <strong>PM2,5<\/strong> que provienen de las emisiones del tr\u00e1fico, la industria, las dom\u00e9sticas o las naturales (como el polvo africano).<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row][et_pb_column type=\u00bb1_2&#8243; Se han establecido indicadores adaptados a cada pa\u00eds. Sin embargo, en el resto de Am\u00e9rica, Asia y \u00c1frica todav\u00eda hay muy pocas.<\/p>\n<p>Algunas de estas ciudades m\u00e1s sostenibles no europeas &#8211; en las que nos centraremos m\u00e1s adelante cuando hablamos de la UE- son:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Vancouver<\/strong> (Canad\u00e1) por la concienciaci\u00f3n de sus ciudadanos en el tema del medio ambiente y el equilibrio con el consumo.<\/li>\n<li><strong>San Francisco<\/strong> (California), por la gesti\u00f3n del agua y con una tasa de reciclaje del 77%.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ciudad del Cabo<\/strong> (Sud\u00e1frica), por el regreso de sus ciudadanos a la naturaleza y, en consecuencia, su recuperaci\u00f3n.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Curitiba<\/strong> (Brasil), la primera ciudad americana en la gesti\u00f3n del transporte p\u00fablico sostenible.
