En aquel momento, los bancos y entidades financieras como el Banco Mundial, el Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo o Corporaci\u00f3n Financiera Internacional, empezaron a emitir estos t\u00edtulos de cr\u00e9dito para <strong>financiar proyectos y activos<\/strong> que ten\u00edan beneficios ambientales y\/o clim\u00e1ticos.<\/p>\n<p>Empezaron a invertir en aquellas compa\u00f1\u00edas o corporaciones que impulsaban la eficiencia energ\u00e9tica de los edificios, la electrificaci\u00f3n del transporte, la econom\u00eda circular o la alimentaci\u00f3n sostenible.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image _builder_version=\u00bb3.26.3&#8243; header_6_text_shadow_vertical_length_tablet=\u00bb0px\u00bb header_6_text_shadow_blur_strength=\u00bbheader_6_text_shadow_style,%91object Object%93&#8243; header_6_text_shadow_blur_strength_tablet=\u00bb1px\u00bb box_shadow_horizontal_tablet=\u00bb0px\u00bb box_shadow_vertical_tablet=\u00bb0px\u00bb box_shadow_blur_tablet=\u00bb40px\u00bb box_shadow_spread_tablet=\u00bb0px\u00bb z_index_tablet=\u00bb500&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>La <strong>Initiative Climate Bonds<\/strong>, entidad de referencia en materia de bonos verdes, establece la siguiente tipolog\u00eda de bonos:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>bonos verdes clim\u00e1ticos<\/li>\n<li>bonos verdes mixtos (con varios destinos)<\/li>\n<li>bonos verdes de transporte<\/li>\n<li>bonos verdes para edificaci\u00f3n<\/li>\n<li>bonos verdes para energ\u00edas renovables sin especificar el tipo de energ\u00eda<\/li>\n<li>bonos verdes para energ\u00eda e\u00f3lica<\/li>\n<li>bonos verdes para energ\u00eda solar<\/li>\n<li>bonos verdes para energ\u00eda geot\u00e9rmica<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>En definitiva, los bonos verdes son un instrumento mediante el cual los gobiernos y las empresas obtienen recursos -de entidades financieras internacionales-, para financiar proyectos ambientalmente responsables o que vayan en l\u00ednea con el objetivo cero emisiones \u2013 Zero Emissions Objective-.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>El objetivo principal de los bonos verdes es que los <strong>inversores privados financien la lucha contra el cambio clim\u00e1tico<\/strong>.\u00a0El Banco Mundial emite peri\u00f3dicamente estos bonos por un valor de miles de millones de d\u00f3lares, y los vende a bancos centrales y a grandes inversores institucionales.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=\u00bb3.26.3&#8243; En 2020, por ejemplo, este tipo de <strong>inversi\u00f3n logr\u00f3 un crecimiento de un 45% con respecto al a\u00f1o anterior<\/strong>. Si hacemos referencia al tipo de bonos, el 79% de los bonos verdes emitidos en el pa\u00eds durante ese a\u00f1o tuvieron por destino actividades de energ\u00edas renovables y eficiencia energ\u00e9tica.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan el informe \u201c<strong>El papel de las finanzas sostenibles en el sector de la energ\u00eda<\/strong>\u201d, elaborado por Deloitte y publicado por Fundaci\u00f3n Naturgy el a\u00f1o pasado, en 2020 Espa\u00f1a logr\u00f3 ocupar el tercer puesto de los pa\u00edses con mayor emisi\u00f3n de bonos sostenibles. Sin embargo, en el caso de las inversiones del \u00edndice sostenible MSCI Europe SRI EUR, las p\u00e9rdidas alcanzaron un m\u00e1ximo de un -20,1% en los primeros trimestres. Aunque la diferencia pueda parecer m\u00ednima, estamos hablando de cientos de millones de euros.<\/p>\n<p>Y es que, seg\u00fan los expertos financieros, las inversiones sostenibles efectuadas en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os han <strong>logrado ser m\u00e1s rentables que las convencionales<\/strong>. Seg\u00fan los rankings de Refinitiv y Dealogic, CaixaBank particip\u00f3 en la emisi\u00f3n de cuatro bonos verdes, por un importe total de 6.750 millones de euros. Entre esas emisiones destacan las de Iberdrola, Telef\u00f3nica, la Comunidad de Madrid o EDP Energ\u00eda SAU.<\/p>\n<p>Al emitir un bono verde, una empresa \u2014privada o p\u00fablica\u2014 recibe unos fondos que ha de <strong>usar exclusivamente para financiar o refinanciar<\/strong> (en parte o en su totalidad), proyectos con un impacto positivo sobre el medio ambiente.<\/p>\n<p>Cada empresa tiene su propio marco para la emisi\u00f3n de bonos verdes. A modo de ejemplo, se ha recogido el de la compa\u00f1\u00eda <strong>Iberdrola<\/strong>, que est\u00e1 basado en el modelo y los criterios establecidos por la <strong>Asociaci\u00f3n Internacional de Mercados de Capitales (ICMA):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>El emisor de un bono verde debe comunicar a los inversores los <a href=\"https:\/\/plataformazeo.com\/es\/que-son-science-based-targets-empresas\/\">Science Based Targets<\/a> de forma transparente y permitir la evaluaci\u00f3n y revisi\u00f3n externa.<\/li>\n<li>La gesti\u00f3n de fondos estar\u00e1 controlada por el emisor y este permitir\u00e1 una revisi\u00f3n complementaria por parte de un auditor.<\/li>\n<li>El emisor debe actualizar peri\u00f3dicamente la\u00a0informaci\u00f3n sobre el uso de los fondos y los beneficios medioambientales obtenidos.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>En este sentido, para <strong>poderse beneficiar de un bono verde<\/strong>, lo primero es contar con un proyecto sostenible previamente definido y con todas las especificaciones t\u00e9cnicas en regla.
