La \u00faltima encuesta realizada por ESADE y la Universidad Carlos III ha tenido una gran repercusi\u00f3n medi\u00e1tica. Al parecer, una de las principales conclusiones del estudio es que, aunque la ciudadan\u00eda otorga cada d\u00eda una mayor importancia al problema de la crisis medioambiental, no est\u00e1n dispuestos a sacrificar ciertas costumbres o privilegios.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Algunos de las cuestiones que aborda el estudio son: la subida de los impuestos de la gasolina<\/strong>, renunciar a los coches o veh\u00edculos m\u00e1s contaminantes o limitar el consumo de carne.<\/p>\n

La mayor parte de los 3.014 encuestados<\/strong> consideran que la transici\u00f3n ecol\u00f3gica es prioritaria para combatir el cambio clim\u00e1tico. Alrededor del 24% de ellos aseguran que la implicaci\u00f3n de Espa\u00f1a a la hora de atajar la crisis clim\u00e1tica deber\u00eda ser \u201cplena\u201d.<\/p>\n

Y es que, seg\u00fan los datos oficiales brindados por la Oficina Nacional de Administraci\u00f3n Oce\u00e1nica y Atmosf\u00e9rica estadounidense (NOAA)<\/strong>, el nivel de CO2 en la atm\u00f3sfera no deja de crecer a escala global. Tal y como indica el informe, en mayo la densidad de este Gas de Efecto Invernadero<\/strong> lleg\u00f3 a unas 420 partes por mill\u00f3n, por lo que el calor retenido por esta capa gaseosa en 2021 fue un 49% m\u00e1s que en 1990.<\/p>\n

Aunque estos datos puedan parecer inocuos para los habitantes del Planeta, lo cierto es que actualmente existen algunas consecuencias del cambio clim\u00e1tico que ya afectan a nuestra sociedad. Seg\u00fan datos del AEMET<\/strong>, la Agencia Estatal de Meteorolog\u00eda, el a\u00f1o pasado fue uno de los m\u00e1s c\u00e1lidos y secos de la historia de Espa\u00f1a. De hecho, durante la primera mitad de junio de 2022, hemos vivido una ola de calor muy temprana e intensa, un fen\u00f3meno que se ha venido repitiendo cada a\u00f1o des del 2011.<\/p>\n

Sin embargo, pese a todos estos indicadores que nos demuestran la importancia de activar medidas de inmediato para frenar el cambio clim\u00e1tico y lograr una sociedad ZEO \u2013 cero emisiones-, cuando es cuesti\u00f3n de hacer sacrificios personales, la ciudadan\u00eda no da la talla.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Y es que, seg\u00fan la encuesta, el 64% de las personas rechazan el impuesto a la gasolina, mientras que s\u00f3lo un 16% lo apoya. Por otra parte, un 55% no est\u00e1n dispuestos a poner fin a la circulaci\u00f3n de veh\u00edculos di\u00e9sel.<\/p>\n

La subida de impuestos de los veh\u00edculos de grandes proporciones, los que contaminan m\u00e1s, tiene un 42% en contra y un 32% a favor.<\/p>\n

La conclusi\u00f3n es clara: por muy preocupados que los espa\u00f1oles est\u00e9n por el medio ambiente y la preservaci\u00f3n del Planeta, no est\u00e1n dispuestos a renunciar al actual sistema de movilidad. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Algo realmente contraproducente de cara a que Espa\u00f1a pueda cumplir con los objetivos de descarbonizaci\u00f3n pactados por la UE. En nuestro pa\u00eds, el 27% de las emisiones GEI (Gases de Efecto Invernadero) provienen de los veh\u00edculos de gasolina y gasoil. De hecho, seg\u00fan el Observatorio de Sostenibilidad<\/strong>, en el a\u00f1o 2020 las emisiones GEI en Espa\u00f1a volvieron a crecer debido a este sector en particular.<\/p>\n

De todos modos, a\u00fan podr\u00eda haber cierta esperanza en el camino hacia un transporte m\u00e1s ZEO: el 69% de los encuestados est\u00e1n a favor de destinar subvenciones a la adquisici\u00f3n de coches y autobuses.<\/p>\n

Otra de las conclusiones destacadas de este informe es el hecho de que la sociedad espa\u00f1ola no est\u00e1 dispuesta a renunciar al consumo de carne.<\/p>\n

Al 68% de los espa\u00f1oles no les parece bien subir el IVA al consumo de productos no sostenibles, mientras que el 46% se opone a prohibir la carne no ecol\u00f3gica. Sin embargo, hay una mayor parte de la poblaci\u00f3n que est\u00e1 m\u00e1s dispuesta a impedir la creaci\u00f3n de m\u00e1s macrogranjas, que a mantenerlas. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Y es que debemos tener en cuenta que las emisiones de este tipo de instalaciones representan el 65% de toda la huella de carbono del sector primario espa\u00f1ol.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Parece que hay ciertos l\u00edmites que la sociedad no est\u00e1 dispuesta a sobrepasar para lograr una sociedad ZEO.<\/p>\n

Sin embargo, tal y como recoge la encuesta, podemos ver una luz al final del t\u00fanel: el negacionismo ya no tiene respaldo entre los espa\u00f1oles<\/strong>. \u201cLas personas que niegan el cambio clim\u00e1tico cuentan con una de las afectividades m\u00e1s bajas entre la poblaci\u00f3n\u201d, alrededor de 27 puntos sobre 100. Por otro lado, \u201caquellos que se movilizan contra la crisis clim\u00e1tica disponen de un elevado grado de afectividad positiva\u201d, es decir, los activistas y ecologistas clim\u00e1ticos cuentan con una buena opini\u00f3n.<\/p>\n
