El verano es una estaci\u00f3n realmente anhelada por gran parte de la sociedad. Sin embargo, al mismo tiempo, resulta una estaci\u00f3n muy temida por la comunidad clim\u00e1tica y perjudicial para el Planeta. Y es que, durante la temporada estival, las emisiones de CO2 generadas por el ser humano<\/strong> aumentan de forma considerable.<\/p>\n

A lo largo de los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, hemos sido testigos del incremento dr\u00e1stico del volumen de emisiones, especialmente durante el periodo vacacional. Tal y como se observa en este gr\u00e1fico del Observatorio de la Transici\u00f3n Energ\u00e9tica y la Acci\u00f3n Clim\u00e1tica\u00a0(OTEA<\/strong>) de Espa\u00f1a, las emisiones GEI mensuales experimentan un crecimiento notable durante los meses de junio, julio y agosto.<\/p>\n

Y no es para menos, la comunidad cient\u00edfica revel\u00f3 que 2021 hab\u00eda sido el quinto a\u00f1o m\u00e1s caluroso<\/strong> desde que se registran temperaturas a nivel mundial. Adem\u00e1s, pese a los esfuerzos por activar la transici\u00f3n ecol\u00f3gica, en 2021 las emisiones de Gases de Efecto Invernadero (GEI) siguen creciendo de forma imparable.<\/p>\n

Debemos tener en cuenta que, en verano, nuestra factura energ\u00e9tica aumenta para ayudarnos a soportar el calor. Los aparatos de aire acondicionado, los ventiladores y otros sistemas de climatizaci\u00f3n, requieren de un mayor gasto de electricidad para su funcionamiento.<\/p>\n

Por este motivo, podr\u00edamos decir que, de no frenar la crisis clim\u00e1tica, el calor seguir\u00e1 aumentado, y con ello, el consumo de electricidad. Al mismo tiempo, esto dar\u00e1 pie a un nuevo incremento de las emisiones que contribuyen al cambio clim\u00e1tico. Sin lugar a dudas, es el pez que se muerde la cola.<\/p>\n

De todos modos, existe otro sector econ\u00f3mico que experimenta su punto \u00e1lgido en verano y que tambi\u00e9n supone un gran foco de emisiones: el turismo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

El turismo es uno de los sectores que m\u00e1s contribuyen a la econom\u00eda actual. El \u00faltimo informe de la Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial del Turismo (OMT) revela que el turismo representa hoy en d\u00eda el 10% del empleo y el 10% del producto interior bruto (PIB) mundial.<\/strong><\/p>\n

De todos modos, a la larga, esta no es una soluci\u00f3n pr\u00e1ctica y efectiva para combatir el cambio clim\u00e1tico. Las \u201cStaycations\u201d no son otra cosa que disfrutar de las vacaciones \u201cen casa\u201d, en un destino nacional al que puedas llegar en tren, autob\u00fas o coche el\u00e9ctrico. Seg\u00fan un estudio de la consultora Allianz Partner, en pa\u00edses como Espa\u00f1a, Italia y Estados Unidos el turismo local o \u201cStaycations\u201d es una opci\u00f3n con una gran acogida entre la poblaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

De hecho, en algunos pa\u00edses es la opci\u00f3n m\u00e1s demandada entre su ciudadan\u00eda. Y es que el 81% de los italianos prefiere pasar las vacaciones en su pa\u00eds, que viajar el extranjero. El mismo estudio revela que casi la mitad de los encuestados no se plantea abandonar el pa\u00eds debido a su situaci\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica actual. Mientras que, por otra parte, el 27% asegura que no quiere realizar viajes internacionales porque han subido los precios y el 16% porque prefiere destinar sus ahorros a otros fines.<\/p>\n

Sin embargo, otra de las razones por las que muchos apuestan por las \u201cStaycations\u201d<\/strong> es el factor ecol\u00f3gico. Este 2022 los destinos tur\u00edsticos locales ser\u00e1n los m\u00e1s elegidos entre los espa\u00f1oles.<\/p>\n

Y es que, seg\u00fan la \u00faltima encuesta de la empresa de an\u00e1lisis GWI, este verano el 36,3% de los espa\u00f1oles elegir\u00e1n destinos nacionales para sus viajes apostando por el turismo slow.<\/p>\n

Y esta tendencia se ve a\u00fan m\u00e1s marcada si nos fijamos en los grupos de edad: mientras que el 24,1% de los encuestados de entre 25 y 34 a\u00f1os ha reconocido su intenci\u00f3n de cruzar fronteras<\/strong>, el 40,4% de los espa\u00f1oles de entre 55 y 64 a\u00f1os prefieren quedarse en territorio nacional.<\/p>\n
