Seg\u00fan la Agencia Estatal de Meteorolog\u00eda (AEMET), y teniendo en cuenta las\u00a0previsiones\u00a0de lo que queda de\u00a0agosto, \u00abno existen precedentes\u00bb de un verano tan c\u00e1lido\u00a0como el del 2022. \u00a0Al menos, desde hace\u00a0algo m\u00e1s de un siglo.<\/p>\n

Los datos de este organismo confirman que m\u00e1s de la mitad del pa\u00eds registr\u00f3 picos continuados de calor<\/strong> por encima de los normales entre el 1 de junio, el d\u00eda en que empieza el verano climatol\u00f3gico, y el 18 de julio.<\/p>\n

\u00abNos encontramos frente a un verano extremadamente c\u00e1lido\u201d. En este sentido,\u00a0junio fue el cuarto m\u00e1s c\u00e1lido desde que hay registros y\u00a0julio ha sido el mes m\u00e1s caluroso de la historia. Seg\u00fan la AEMET, la primera quincena de agosto de 2022 ha sido la segunda m\u00e1s calurosa de la serie, solo superada por la de 2003.<\/p>\n

En cuanto a las precipitaciones, el valor medio de las lluvias acumuladas en el a\u00f1o hidrol\u00f3gico desde el pasado 1 de octubre de 2021 hasta el 16 de agosto de 2022, se cifra en\u00a0430 litros por metro cuadrado, alrededor de un 26 % menos\u00a0que el valor normal en dicho periodo (583 litros por metro cuadrado).<\/p>\n

Seguramente por estos motivos, los partidos pol\u00edticos espa\u00f1oles han introducido el tema del clima extremo en sus agendas pol\u00edticas<\/strong>. Aunque hace a\u00f1os que la comunidad cient\u00edfica alerta a los pol\u00edticos sobre la importancia de actuar para reducir emisiones y frenar el cambio clim\u00e1tico, no ha sido hasta ahora que los partidos han empezado a endurecer sus compromisos clim\u00e1ticos.<\/p>\n

Y es que este verano las consecuencias del cambio clim\u00e1tico se han hecho m\u00e1s visibles que nunca: olas de calor, sequ\u00eda generalizada en el pa\u00eds, cultivos exhaustos, miles de hect\u00e1reas calcinadas por el fuego, etc.<\/p>\n

Todos estos impactos han provocado una reacci\u00f3n por parte de los partidos pol\u00edticos<\/strong> de cara a las pr\u00f3ximas elecciones municipales. Las ciudades son clave para lograr la transici\u00f3n ecol\u00f3gica.<\/p>\n

Por su parte, en Unidas Podemos, <\/strong>Juan L\u00f3pez de Uralde recuerda que en septiembre empezar\u00e1n a desarrollar un documento similar. Mientras que el partido de Yolanda D\u00edaz, Sumar, escogi\u00f3 la crisis clim\u00e1tica como tema central de su primer acto sectorial.<\/p>\n

Las olas de calor, la sequ\u00eda y la escasez h\u00eddrica en todo el pa\u00eds est\u00e1n generando un gran des\u00e1nimo y da\u00f1o emocional. Por este motivo, los partidos deben tomar acci\u00f3n y presentar medidas que den respuesta a lo que est\u00e1 pasando.<\/p>\n

De lo contrario, se generar\u00e1 una mayor desafecci\u00f3n pol\u00edtica. Y es que tal y como explican desde el PSOE, \u201cahora mismo hay una gran desafecci\u00f3n hacia pol\u00edtica por parte de los j\u00f3venes; en ellos el sentimiento de gravedad hacia la emergencia clim\u00e1tica es mucho mayor\u201d.<\/p>\n

De hecho, el \u00faltimo sondeo de la empresa 40d<\/strong>B<\/strong> elaborado por El Pa\u00eds muestra que al 65,6% de los espa\u00f1oles les preocupa m\u00e1s el cambio clim\u00e1tico despu\u00e9s de los fen\u00f3menos clim\u00e1ticos extremos sucedidos en el \u00faltimo a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n

Precisamente por este motivo resulta tan positivo que en los \u00faltimos cinco meses se haya llevado a cabo finalmente la Asamblea Ciudadana del Clima. Tal y como os explicamos en un art\u00edculo publicado en julio,<\/a> se trata de una asamblea compuesta por 100 ciudadanos e impulsada por el Gobierno que, con la ayuda de los cient\u00edficos, ha estado debatiendo sobre una \u00fanica pregunta: \u00bfc\u00f3mo debe afrontar Espa\u00f1a la crisis clim\u00e1tica?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Este tipo de encuentro ciudadano, que ya se hab\u00eda celebrado en Francia, Reino Unido o Escocia, dio pie a un documento con 172 propuestas que fue presentado a Pedro S\u00e1nchez en junio.<\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan la directora cient\u00edfica del Centro Vasco de Cambio Clim\u00e1tico<\/strong> y miembro del equipo de asesores de la asamblea, Mar\u00eda Jos\u00e9 Sanz, \u201cla mayor parte de las propuestas son de sentido com\u00fan y muchas son perfectamente asumibles total o parcialmente por los partidos\u201d.<\/p>\n

A trav\u00e9s de estas propuestas es posible conectar con los j\u00f3venes y descubrir qu\u00e9 es aquello que m\u00e1s les preocupa. Algunas de las m\u00e1s destacadas por parte de este colectivo son el cambio hacia la agricultura de proximidad y el modelo agroalimentario.<\/p>\n

Todo apunta a que el componente clim\u00e1tico<\/strong> estar\u00e1 muy presente en las pr\u00f3ximas elecciones municipales. Sin embargo, lo m\u00e1s importante es que las propuestas de sostenibilidad no se queden en promesas vac\u00edas, sino que finalmente lleguen a buen puerto.<\/p>\n

Espa\u00f1a debe cumplir con los objetivos de descarbonizaci\u00f3n recogidos en el plan Fit for 55:<\/strong> debemos reducir un 55% las emisiones de cara al pr\u00f3ximo 2030. Y para conseguirlo, debemos empezar a actuar de inmediato, especialmente en el \u00e1mbito local.<\/p>\n
