Seg\u00fan las Naciones Unidas, actualmente 442 reactores nucleares de fisi\u00f3n producen <strong>alrededor del 10,5 %\u00a0<em>de<\/em>\u00a0la electricidad mundial.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Existen 33 pa\u00edses que disponen de este tipo de instalaciones en su territorio. Entre ellos, se encuentra Espa\u00f1a, que dispone de 7 centrales nucleares creadas a partir de la d\u00e9cada de los 80. Adem\u00e1s, actualmente, hay 55 centrales nucleares en construcci\u00f3n repartidas por todo el mundo.<\/p>\n<p>La energ\u00eda nuclear ha sido una alternativa valorada y criticada a partes iguales por la comunidad internacional. Y es que, para muchos expertos, la energ\u00eda nuclear es \u201clenta, cara y peligrosa\u201d. Mientras que, para otros, es un mal necesario, <strong>la\u00a0soluci\u00f3n m\u00e1s efectiva de generaci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda<\/strong>\u00a0a la que hay que exponerse para reducir emisiones y contribuir a la lucha contra el cambio clim\u00e1tico.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image _builder_version=\u00bb3.26.3&#8243; header_6_text_shadow_blur_strength_tablet=\u00bb1px\u00bb box_shadow_horizontal_tablet=\u00bb0px\u00bb box_shadow_vertical_tablet=\u00bb0px\u00bb box_shadow_blur_tablet=\u00bb40px\u00bb box_shadow_spread_tablet=\u00bb0px\u00bb z_index_tablet=\u00bb500&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>Independientemente de los \u00faltimos avances tecnol\u00f3gicos en esta \u00e1rea, es indiscutible que la energ\u00eda nuclear y, concretamente, las centrales nucleares de fisi\u00f3n, acarrean una <strong>serie de riesgos para la salud de las personas<\/strong> y la del territorio en el que se encuentran ubicadas.<\/p>\n<p>De hecho, en los \u00faltimos 75 a\u00f1os, han tenido lugar <strong>diversos accidentes nucleares<\/strong> que han puesto fin a la vida de miles de personas, provocando da\u00f1os ambientales irreparables.<\/p>\n<p>Los accidentes de <strong>Fukushima y Chern\u00f3bil<\/strong>, catalogadas de nivel 7 en la escala de Richter, se han consolidado como las peores cat\u00e1strofes nucleares de la historia.<\/p>\n<p>El accidente de Chern\u00f3bil fue el m\u00e1s grave y con m\u00e1s v\u00edctimas mortales de la historia -31 personas murieron a causa de la propia explosi\u00f3n-. El accidente de Chern\u00f3bil provoc\u00f3 un <strong>incendio que dur\u00f3 diez d\u00edas<\/strong> y la explosi\u00f3n gener\u00f3 mucha m\u00e1s radiaci\u00f3n que la liberada por la bomba at\u00f3mica de Hiroshima. Adem\u00e1s, al contrario que en la fisi\u00f3n nuclear, la fusi\u00f3n podr\u00eda ser mucho m\u00e1s segura y circular, pues no genera residuos
