Y esto implica celebrar sesiones especiales para examinar el trabajo de ciertas operaciones espec\u00edficas o abordar algunas cuestiones de urgencia o causa mayor.<\/p>\n<p>En este sentido, el cambio clim\u00e1tico fue uno de los protagonistas de esta \u00faltima reuni\u00f3n en la que las declaraciones del secretario general de la ONU, Antonio Gut\u00e9rres, sobre el cambio clim\u00e1tico no pasaron desapercibidas.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan Gut\u00e9rres, el alarmante incremento de la subida del nivel del mar podr\u00eda desencadenar un \u201c<strong>\u00e9xodo masivo de poblaciones enteras, a escala b\u00edblica<\/strong>\u201d. La subida del nivel del mar, provocada por el deshielo de los polos, est\u00e1 poniendo en peligro la seguridad y el bienestar de las personas que viven en determinadas zonas geogr\u00e1ficas, como los pa\u00edses insulares, las ciudades costeras o los asentamientos por debajo del nivel del Mar.<\/p>\n<p>El secretario general de la ONU alert\u00f3 sobre la importancia de analizar los riesgos que puede tener la subida del nivel del mar en la seguridad global y la paz.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=\u00bb3.26.3&#8243; Ir\u00e1n, Pakist\u00e1n, India y algunos pa\u00edses que limitan con los mismos, han tenido que hacer frente a inundaciones y otro tipo de fen\u00f3menos clim\u00e1ticos extremos.<\/p>\n<p>Un ejemplo de ello son las inundaciones sucedidas este mismo febrero del 2023 en Pakist\u00e1n. En la regi\u00f3n de Balochistan, un episodio de lluvias monz\u00f3nicas, unido al incremento del nivel del mar, provoc\u00f3 el \u00e9xodo de miles de familias al interior del pa\u00eds. Los distritos costeros de <strong>Jaffarabad, Jhal Magsi, Lasbella y Naseerabad<\/strong>, quedaron completamente destrozados por unas inundaciones sin precedentes que arrasaron cultivos y destruyeron miles de casas.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesia es otro ejemplo de pa\u00eds afectado por el incremento del nivel del mar. El a\u00f1o pasado, este pa\u00eds insular tom\u00f3 la decisi\u00f3n de <a href=\"https:\/\/plataformazeo.com\/es\/indonesia-cambia-su-capital-debido-al-impacto-del-cambio-climatico\/\">trasladar su capital, Yakarta<\/a>, a la jungla del Borneo. <strong>Nusantara<\/strong> ser\u00e1 la nueva capital administrativa del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p>Y es que, seg\u00fan la comunidad cient\u00edfica, Yakarta, una ciudad atravesada por trece r\u00edos y amenazada por el crecimiento del mar de Java, ser\u00e1 una de las primeras urbes en desaparecer por completo debido al cambio clim\u00e1tico.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan el ingeniero <strong>Heri Andreas<\/strong>, la zona norte de la ciudad ya se ha hundido 2,5 metros en 10 a\u00f1os y sigue hundi\u00e9ndose a raz\u00f3n de 25 cm al a\u00f1o en algunas zonas. Por lo tanto, seg\u00fan los pron\u00f3sticos y el incremento anual de 1,2 cent\u00edmetros por a\u00f1o que sufre esta regi\u00f3n debido las corrientes oce\u00e1nicas, <strong>para el a\u00f1o 2100<\/strong> el pa\u00eds habr\u00e1 desaparecido bajo las aguas.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Vanuatu:<\/strong> este archipi\u00e9lago formado por seis islas est\u00e1 ubicado en el oc\u00e9ano pac\u00edfico, concretamente en el Nord-Este de Australia. La ONU considera que Vanuatu es uno de los pa\u00edses insulares m\u00e1s vulnerables a la subida del nivel del mar y a los desastres naturales.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Las Maldivas:<\/strong> si se cumplen las previsiones, antes de que termine el siglo, unos 320.000 isle\u00f1os tendr\u00e1n que abandonar sus hogares y el mundo perder\u00e1 una cultura con m\u00e1s de 2.000 a\u00f1os de antig\u00fcedad. El gobierno de las Maldivas lleva desde 2009 ahorrando en un fondo para construir islas artificiales para que sus habitantes no se queden sin hogar.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tuvalu:<\/strong> este atol\u00f3n conocido por sus arrecifes de coral, dispone de seis islas y un total de 11.000 habitantes. Se trata de una de las naciones m\u00e1s afectadas por el cambio clim\u00e1tico.
