El cambio clim\u00e1tico est\u00e1 teniendo un fuerte impacto en la biodiversidad del Planeta. El incremento global de las temperaturas provocado por la emisi\u00f3n desmedida de Gases de Efecto Invernadero (GEI) ha puesto bajo amenaza m\u00faltiples ecosistemas y, con ello, las especies que los habitan.<\/p>\n

Al mismo tiempo, la desaparici\u00f3n de estas especies tambi\u00e9n ha tenido un impacto en estos ecosistemas<\/strong>, repercutiendo negativamente en su supervivencia y su ciclo de vida. Y es que en muchas ocasiones, el equilibrio entre animales y vegetaci\u00f3n es esencial para garantizar la conservaci\u00f3n y longevidad de estos espacios.<\/p>\n

A lo largo del \u00faltimo medio siglo, la biodiversidad de la Tierra ha disminuido de forma alarmante. Una prueba patente de la reducci\u00f3n de la biodiversidad natural de nuestro planeta se encuentra en la Lista Roja de las Especies Amenazadas<\/strong> de la Uni\u00f3n Internacional para la Conservaci\u00f3n de la Naturaleza (UIC). De las 150.388 especies incluidas en esta lista, 42.1000 est\u00e1n en peligro de extinci\u00f3n<\/strong>, en parte, debido al cambio clim\u00e1tico.<\/p>\n

Por otro lado, la investigaci\u00f3n \u201cAceleraci\u00f3n del riesgo de extinci\u00f3n por el cambio clim\u00e1tico\u201d de la Universidad de Connecticut publicada en la revista Science, asegura que\u00a0el cambio clim\u00e1tico est\u00e1 acelerando\u00a0el riesgo de extinci\u00f3n ya que causar\u00e1 directamente la desaparici\u00f3n de casi un 8% de las especies actuales.<\/strong><\/p>\n

De no eliminar nuestra dependencia de los combustibles f\u00f3siles y lograr una sociedad ZEO para 2050, los riesgos de extinci\u00f3n se incrementar\u00e1n y amenazar\u00e1n hasta una de cada seis especies.<\/p>\n

Pese a que los riesgos de extinci\u00f3n son mucho m\u00e1s altos en Am\u00e9rica del Sur, Australia y Nueva Zelanda, necesitamos adoptar urgentemente estrategias de mitigaci\u00f3n a escala global para frenar el cambio clim\u00e1tico<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Para evitar la llamada \u201csexta extinci\u00f3n\u201d de las especies, es imprescindible cumplir con los objetivos de descarbonizaci\u00f3n establecidos en los Planes Nacionales de Energ\u00eda y Clima (PNIEC) y establecer mecanismos para financiar la transici\u00f3n ecol\u00f3gica de nuestra econom\u00eda.<\/p>\n

            Se estima que, desde 1990, la masa de insectos voladores en los parques naturales se ha reducido un 75%<\/strong>. As\u00ed lo confirma el estudio del cient\u00edfico Caspar Hallmann, de la Universidad de Radboud en Nimega (Holanda), publicado en la revista ‘PLOS ONE’.<\/p>\n

            Los resultados del mismo sugieren una p\u00e9rdida severa de biomasa a\u00e9rea total, lo que indica que toda la comunidad de insectos voladores ha sido diezmada en las \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas debido al calor, la sequ\u00eda y los fen\u00f3menos clim\u00e1ticos extremos y los pesticidas.<\/p>\n

            De hecho, a medida que las temperaturas suben, algunos insectos pueden llegar a desplazarse a latitudes m\u00e1s altas o altitudes m\u00e1s elevadas en busca de climas adecuados, lo que puede llevar a la invasi\u00f3n de especies ex\u00f3ticas en nuevos h\u00e1bitats.<\/p>\n

            Por ejemplo, en Estados Unidos se ha perdido el 43 % de la poblaci\u00f3n de insectos, principalmente por culpa de los par\u00e1sitos, los pesticidas y el aumento de eventos clim\u00e1ticos extremos.\u00a0<\/p>\n

            La Organizaci\u00f3n de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentaci\u00f3n y la Agricultura (FAO), recuerda que en la actualidad existen 100 especies de cultivos que proporcionan el 90% de los alimentos a la humanidad<\/strong>, el 71% de ellos se son polinizados gracias a las abejas.<\/p>\n

            En este sentido, la comunidad cient\u00edfica lleva a\u00f1os alertando del alarmante declive del n\u00famero de abejas, los principales polinizadores del Planeta, en el mundo.<\/p>\n

            El cambio clim\u00e1tico ha provocado un descenso del 40% de las abejas. Esto ha obligado a que deban dividirse para ser repobladas, reduciendo la producci\u00f3n de miel en enjambres muy masificados que podr\u00edan llegar a tener alrededor de sesenta mil abejas cada uno.<\/strong><\/p>\n

            La\u00a0subida de las temperaturas\u00a0y la desaparici\u00f3n de la primavera y el oto\u00f1o tienen graves consecuencias para la supervivencia y reproducci\u00f3n de estos seres. Es importante controlar la temperatura ya que, a partir de los 35\u00baC, la abeja\u00a0reina se vuelve est\u00e9ril. Como la naturaleza es sabia, las abejas mantienen una temperatura controlada dentro de las colmenas, aunque fuera de ella haga m\u00e1s de 40\u00baC.<\/p>\n

            Precisamente por ello, en la actualidad, el sector de las abejas ha evolucionado y ahora ha empezado a introducir en los ecosistemas\u00a0colmenas inteligentes<\/strong>\u00a0que tienen, entre otros dispositivos, sensores de temperatura exterior e interior. Los apicultores est\u00e1n buscando mecanismos y soluciones para aumentar la poblaci\u00f3n de polinizadores<\/a>.<\/p>\n
