Seg\u00fan el \u00faltimo censo agrario, en 2020 en Espa\u00f1a exist\u00edan un total de 914.871 explotaciones agr\u00edcolas, un 7,6% menos en el censo del 2009. En contraste, a lo largo de este periodo, la superficie utilizada aument\u00f3 un 0,7%, hasta los 23,9 millones de hect\u00e1reas. La gran mayor\u00eda de las explotaciones son familiares (96,3%). Es decir, las consecuencias del cambio clim\u00e1tico est\u00e1n generando importantes p\u00e9rdidas en peque\u00f1as y medianas empresas.<\/p>\n
Tal y como recogen La Vanguardia, es importante tener en cuenta que Espa\u00f1a es el segundo pa\u00eds de la UE con mayor superficie agraria, s\u00f3lo por detr\u00e1s de Francia, y emplea de forma directa a unas 740.000 personas. Porque seg\u00fan el \u00faltimo \u00abInforme sobre la Brecha de Adaptaci\u00f3n\u00bb del Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Medio Ambiente (PNUMA), los Estados m\u00e1s vulnerables frente al cambio clim\u00e1tico necesitan entre 194.000 y 366.000 millones de d\u00f3lares m\u00e1s de financiaci\u00f3n al a\u00f1o que el resto.<\/p>\n
Precisamente por ello, los pa\u00edses ricos deber\u00edan multiplicar entre diez y dieciocho veces los fondos para cubrir las necesidades de adaptaci\u00f3n de los pa\u00edses pobres.<\/p>\n
En 2023 esta organizaci\u00f3n alert\u00f3 de que, aunque m\u00e1s de la mitad de los 197 pa\u00edses firmantes de la Convenci\u00f3n Marco de la ONU frente al Cambio Clim\u00e1tico (CMNUCC) han definido alg\u00fan mecanismo para impulsar la adaptaci\u00f3n, el n\u00famero de acciones de este tipo financiadas por fondos internacionales est\u00e1 paralizada.<\/strong><\/p>\nPor ello, el informe recomienda diferentes v\u00edas para aumentar la financiaci\u00f3n, tanto a trav\u00e9s de los presupuestos nacionales, fondos internacionales y sector privado, como mediante remesas o una reforma de la arquitectura financiera internacional, recoge EFE Verde en uno de sus art\u00edculos.<\/p>\n
