Actualmente cada vez m\u00e1s econom\u00edas est\u00e1n poniendo precio al CO2 a trav\u00e9s de mecanismos de mercado. La econom\u00eda se vuelve cada vez m\u00e1s ZEO -cero emisiones e incluso las empresas que no est\u00e1n sujetas al R\u00e9gimen de Comercio Europeo<\/strong> y que no est\u00e1n obligadas a comprar derechos de emisi\u00f3n, compensan su huella de carbono voluntariamente.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

En Espa\u00f1a se emiten entre 350 y 360 millones de toneladas de CO2 cada a\u00f1o. De estas 350, entorno a 150 toneladas est\u00e1n sujetas a directivas y deben comprar derechos de emisi\u00f3n, como las grandes industrias y las compa\u00f1\u00edas a\u00e9reas.<\/strong> El resto se contabilizan en el sector difuso y es en esta \u00e1rea, donde se realizan la mayor\u00eda de acciones voluntarias de compensaci\u00f3n. Al no ser un mercado obligatorio no existe un recuento de qu\u00e9 porcentaje de este sector difuso contabiliza y compensa sus emisiones.<\/span><\/p>\n

En la actualidad, la mayor\u00eda de compensaciones voluntarias de emisiones de CO2 <\/span>se hacen en proyectos de reforestaci\u00f3n en la Amazonia o Per\u00fa<\/b>. Hasta ahora exist\u00edan algunos proyectos de compensaci\u00f3n local, pero se agotaban r\u00e1pidamente. Desde el 8 de julio ya es posible compensar las emisiones de una forma \u201ctangible y palpable\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n
