Safran se\u00f1ala que debemos reducir el consumo de carne en Europa y los EUA un 90% y consumir un 60% menos de l\u00e1cteos. Por eso<\/span> propone una regla pr\u00e1ctica para conseguirlo,<\/b> \u201cno comer productos de origen animal antes de la hora de cenar\u201d<\/b>. Un peque\u00f1o sacrificio para la sociedad, una gran ayuda en la lucha contra el cambio clim\u00e1tico. Safran insiste a lo largo del libro en la \u00e9tica de la sociedad para poder frenar la producci\u00f3n intensiva de carne y dejar el consumismo extremo y deslocalizado.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Por eso Jonathan Safran insiste en volver a la agricultura y ganader\u00eda tradicional. \u201cCuando no \u00e9ramos tanto miles de millones, era una buena manera de producir comida, para los animales y para el medio ambiente, pero la ganader\u00eda de hoy no es eficiente sino destructiva\u201d. Safran defiende la necesidad de suprimir los subsidios que recibe la agricultura animal para que la carne \u201csea m\u00e1s cara y apreciada\u201d.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
