Desde hace algunos a\u00f1os la corriente zerowaste est\u00e1 penetrando en nuestra sociedad con m\u00e1s fuerza de la que lo hace la mentalidad zeroemissions (ZEO). A\u00fan as\u00ed, todas las medidas que se tomen para la reducci\u00f3n o la correcta gesti\u00f3n de residuos son una ayuda en la lucha contra el cambio clim\u00e1tico.<\/span><\/p>\n

Las <\/span>mujeres tienen una media de 520 ciclos a lo largo de la vida f\u00e9rtil<\/b>, -unos 40 a\u00f1os-. Durante cada menstruaci\u00f3n utilizan una media de 18 tampones o compresas. Y el \u00faltimo dato: Con las soluciones \u00edntimas convencionales cada mujer genera 136 kg de basura al a\u00f1o. Estas compresas, salvaslips y tampones suponen el 0,5% del total de la basura que llega a los vertederos.<\/span><\/p>\n

S\u00f3lo en Espa\u00f1a hay m\u00e1s de 13 millones de mujeres en edad de menstruaci\u00f3n. Esto son 234 millones de tampones y compresas desechados cada mes, 2.930 millones al a\u00f1o.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Lo que la mayor\u00eda de gente desconoce es que todos estos residuos abandonados, adem\u00e1s de poner en riesgo la supervivencia de la biodiversidad y la destrucci\u00f3n de los ecosistemas marinos, <\/span>generan Gases de Efecto Invernadero (GEI)<\/strong> al degradarse. Y son los gases GEI como el metano o el di\u00f3xido de carbono, los que provocan el calentamiento global del planeta Tierra.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
