Durante la\u00a0COP25<\/strong>\u00a0 que originalmente se iba a celebrar en Chile y que se cambi\u00f3 de lugar debido a los disturbios que est\u00e1 sufriendo el pa\u00eds,\u00a0la Uni\u00f3n Europea podr\u00eda comprometerse a la neutralidad clim\u00e1tica para 2050.<\/strong>\u00a0Al menos esa es la fecha que proponen la mayor\u00eda de jefes de gobierno de la UE, pese a la oposici\u00f3n de algunos pa\u00edses como Polonia, Hungr\u00eda y la Rep\u00fablica Checa, que anteriormente ya hab\u00edan bloqueado este objetivo ZEO.\u00a0<\/p>\nLa oposici\u00f3n no es hacia el objetivo de neutralidad para 2050, sino\u00a0a asumir esa meta sin ninguna ayuda econ\u00f3mica especial\u00a0<\/strong>dirigida a estos tres pa\u00edses,\u00a0para poder realizar una transici\u00f3n justa. Los tres pa\u00edses dependen enormemente de los combustibles f\u00f3siles, en concreto del carbono. En el caso de Polonia, un 80% de la energ\u00eda se produce a trav\u00e9s de esta fuente de energ\u00eda f\u00f3sil y de esta dependen tambi\u00e9n m\u00e1s de 112.000 polacos. De todas formas, este 2020, algunos pa\u00edses de la UE podr\u00edan conseguir reducir sus Gases de Efecto Invernadero (GEI) un 20% con respecto a los niveles de 1990.
